Lighting & Storytelling

When I was in my undergrad year, I was not paying attention to the lighting and texturing when I made 3D stuff, all I care about is how to make the model as detailed as possible. But during my internship, my supervisor let me know that with the help of lighting and texturing, even the less detailed model would also look stunning in the final render result

He says good lighting is worth a thousand words, it would let the picture talk by itself. That affects me a lot in my future work. I  even took a photography minor to enhance my understanding of light.
