Unfortunately we don’t have a chance to get mentor’s instructions this week. But we have picked up something we are going to working on for this week.
Backgound/Foreground detail
More Fog in the mountain valley
Lighting
Soundtrack Design
Stencil Layer/Exponential Height Fog (Lumen)
Model Fix
These pending change is listed based on the priority. As the most priority, we need to make the detail and the fog as detailed as we can, and then continue to twist the lighting to the mood that we want. But as the same time, we need to start working on the soundtrack design now, since next week‘s presentation will be the week 8 presentation, so that is also a thing we must consider, since we need keep enough time for us to make the further change.
Once all these thing is done, we could then starts to working on the Model Fix and the Render layer thing. And we also separate the work to each person:
Right now, Coleman will working on the Background/Foreground details, and at the same time adjusting the lighting. I will working on the Soundtrack Design, and continue putting more fog into the scene, especially the mountain valley. Jackson will continue working on the Stencil Layer test. And if any of us have extra time, we will looking at the model fix, since we all think it may be some kind of UE5 issue.

Here is the detail that Coleman add to the scene, he has add more rock and detail to the foreground and middle ground.
Based on the new environment, I have add more fog to the mountain valley, and the middle ground mountain. I also add some fog to the background mountain in shot 3 as well. Hope it would creates mor depth to the shot, I will test out how Exponential Height Fog and DOF would works for this shot in next week.
I also listened many different soundtracks from six royal free music website, and I finally found one soundtrack that have the accent beat that I want, and also suits the Alien feeling. But the original soundtrack is 2 mins and half long, so I have to edit it by myself in Premiere Pro, and tried to make it as seamless as I can, and at the same time make each accent beat just fit on the jump cut transition between each shot.
It’s quite hard to get it, but I really enjoy the process of doing it, and here is what I get right now, I hope you like it.
It definitely need more work in next week, since we can still hear that the seam or transition in the music, but I am looking forward to work on it.
